It is so difficult to remember the beauty when there is so much ugliness facing us, but walking into my studio each morning renewed my belief in life and my hope of bringing a little more beauty and joy into our everyday experience. My latest peony painting is finished and waiting to head off to London - capturing the beautiful light on this peony was a great challenge (especially in the occasional mince-pie-induced-haze over the festive season 😉) but one I loved every minute of. Beyond #grateful I get to call art my profession and to get to paint this beauty all day every day 🥰🎨🖼🌸

‘Peony X’ 🌸 is drying on my easel and I am delighted with how it turned out 😃🖼.

The gratitude I feel at the end of each painting is always expressed with a deep bow to my muse for all the lessons learned during its creation. Patience, steadfastness, showing up, wonder, the joys of Davey’s Grey (and did I mention patience?) top my list as I sign and smile.
